Princess Polly's Story...
Hi! My name is Princess Polly. I am a lovable, adorable girl that is just waiting for my *furever* home. I am spayed, heartworm negative, current on all vaccines and microchipped. I weigh about 12 lbs. I am 2 years old. I am crate trained and housebroken, and I get along well with other dogs. I don't mind cats, either! I like to play with the children in my foster home, too. I was rescued from a shelter after I was turned in as a stray. I love to snuggle on the couch, and I LOVE squeaky toys! I am currently being fostered in SC, but my foster mom says I can catch a ride north on 3/17 to meet my new family! My adoption fee is $325 and covers all of my vetting, as well as my transport fee. Please email my rescue today to get an adoption application. Thanks for checking me out!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess Polly, a Newark Shih Tzu/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Newark, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese dog from a breeder in Newark.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newark already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newark breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newark paves the way for another one to be saved.
