Abbey's Story...
Meet Abbey! This older lab mix has had a hard life and is looking for a quiet home where she can finally have the love she so deserves. At 8 –10 years old, some may call her a “senior”, but we just consider it “experienced”! Like all dogs her age, Abbey has some arthritis and moves a little slowly, so she will never be a jogging buddy. But, boy does she love to cuddle and just hang out with people. In fact, Abbey loves people and dogs alike and would even be willing to share her new home with a buddy. She has charmed everyone at the shelter with her sweet smile and disposition and we know she will make a wonderful companion.

Abbey longs for a family who will give her love, affection, and the security to know that she will never be alone again. If you would like to give this girl a loving forever home, contact his adoption consultant, Debby, at 440-364-1286 or djg4517@gmail.com for more information. Abbey is hanging out in a foster home, so Debby will set up a visit. You won’t be sorry!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abbey, a Berea Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Berea, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
