Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lenny is a darling dog! We know he is part Chihuahua, and the rest is a mystery. He probably has some Italian Greyhound with those long legs and possibly some terrier with his precious ears, but whatever he is, he's 100% adorable! Lenny loves to play with the other playful dogs in his foster home and gets along well with everyone. He is sometimes a bit much for dogs smaller than he is, so will do best with a playmate his size and up. This sweet boy also loves to cuddle and be babied and thinks he's a tiny lapdog. Lenny is VERY smart, and has even completed basic obedience training. The teacher thinks he has tons of potential and could even do agility or obedience trials. We're not sure why, but Lenny can be very easily intimidated when interacting with people, even those he knows well. He is much more confident than when he first arrived, but his new family will need to understand and not be offended if he sometimes shies away. Patience is the key to this little guy's heart, and it will pay off ten-fold. Because of his timidity, we're not sure how comfortable Lenny would be in a home with children, but young children would probably be overwhelming for him. He loves to go outside and roll around in the sunshine, so would like his new home to have a yard for him to do this in. Not only is Lenny housebroken, he's crate trained and will even use a dog door, which will be a big bonus for his family. He also enjoys puzzle toys that he has to interact with to get treats.
This special little boy deserves a family who will love him as much as he will love them. If you'd like to give Lenny the love he's looking for, please fill out an application to meet him today!
Lenny is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative.
