We're not sure what Will's breed background is, but he's 100% cutie pie! He has the face and ears of a Chihuahua, but the rest is a mystery. To touch him, you'd swear he was part rabbit with his thick, luxurious coat and soft, velvety ears. Maybe he's a Chihuabbit! He's definitely a dog of many talents. Will is a professional bug-chaser, love-soaker-upper, and smile-inducer. He's a very special guy looking for a very special home. He came from an unpleasant situation where he was severely neglected when he was a tiny puppy, and it has been a slow but wonderful process to watch him learn about life in a loving home. Because of his poor start, he is shy with new people and takes time to warm up, but with patience and consistency he quickly shows his sweet and silly personality. He is easily intimidated by things like stairs and slick floors, and it takes him time to figure them out, kind of like a child with a slight learning disability. He continues to learn in his foster home and has grown in confidence and come out of his shell considerably.
Will absolutely loves other small dogs and gets along wonderfully with them. He is very happy as a member of the pack, and enjoys zooming around and wrestling with his little dog buddies. He also likes playing with his people friends. When you take him outside, he bursts into the yard with a joie de vie and zest for life that will bring a smile to your face every time. Will has an excellent sense of humor and is always doing funny things like pouncing in front of you to get you to play or running behind you and gently bumping your leg with his nose. He LOVES belly rubs and will stretch his long front legs out straight in the air to keep them coming. Sometimes when you pet him, he will even give you sweet little kisses on your hand to let you know how much he appreciates your kindness. To see a video of Will's greatest hits, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqLeucMhNB8. Will is not always comfortable being held and carried or going for a walk on the leash yet, but with time and patience, he could learn to enjoy these things.
All that Will wants is a chance at the life that every dog deserves with a family that will continue to teach him and let him know he is loved. He is a joy to be around and easy to care for. One look into those beautiful amber eyes and you can see all the love he has to offer. If you would like to give this sweet little boy the loving home he's been waiting for, please fill out an application
Will is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccination and heartworm prevention.
