My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is adorable little Snickers. She arrived weighing in at 8 pounds, 13 oz. Snickers is approx. 4 to 5 months old. She arrived on 3-10-12. When Snickers arrived she was cautious and bit shaky. I do not blame her as we are all new and this is a new place for her. When walking on a leash she keeps looking up at the person walking her. She does not pull nor put the brakes on, but follows along very close to you. Snickers likes to put her front paws on your leg when she wishes to be picked up. UPDATE: She is warming up to the people in the house. She wags her tail when she sees the kids in the morning and willingly went to see them. It is nice to see her come around. She loves to be a lap dog! She is fostered with 2 other dogs and a cat. If the cat hisses at her, she lays down right away. She does not bother the cat at all. She enjoys her time with the other dogs in short spurts. She is just happy to be around the other dogs and does not feel the need to be jumping around or playing with them all the time. She plays with them a little. UPDATE: Snickers is not a hyper or an over active puppy. She is quiet, calm, and only wants to be with you. She will follow you around the home to be near the people she enjoys. She has had only had one accident in the house in five days. She sleeps through the night in a bedroom and gets up in the morning, goes outside, and does her business. Snickers spends time in the crate while we were out of the house a few hours a day. She does well being in her crate in our absence. UPDATE: Please keep in mind this is a little girl. She looks bigger in her photo. We are very careful walking as she is usually right by someones side as they move around the house. Snickers had her first bath in the foster home. She did well but it will take some getting used too. She was towel dried and introduced to the blow dryer on low. So after a good towel dry and a nail trim we went outside to the deck to soak up the sun and dry the last bit of her fur. That she loved. UPDATE: Snickers is not an active chewer despite the fact that she has lost a few baby teeth. She will play with a toy here and there. She does not try to chew or destroy anything in the home. She remains accident free with a good schedule. When our dogs go outside, she follows and is learning really quick where she needs to do her business. She is not a difficult dog to care for. She is very easy going, she just occasionally gets shy or spooked when something is new to her. She does warm up quickly. If you are interested in seeing additional photos, please friend Sheryl's Den on Facebook. If you are interested in adopting, please complete and submit an application. This animal is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously!

Please note that the adoption appointments will be scheduled for the morning of March 24th. After your application is approved, we will contact you and arrange for you to meet on that date. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.
