SNICKERS's Info...

SNICKERS's Story...
Hi, it’s me Snickers or as my foster mom calls me... Snicker Doo!! My foster mom says that the name Snickers fits me perfect... cuz she says I am just as sweet as a Snickers candy bar!!

I am a Male Yorkie mix who weights about 7lbs. I am approximately 3 years old and have been neutered, micro chipped and am up to date on all my shots, including rabies. I have been HW tested and had a negative result - yeah!

During my examination, the vets did find that I do have a Grade 1 Heart Murmur. Hearing a murmur is not a reason to panic. Studies show that many dogs with murmurs live normal lives and never need any treatment for heart disease. Murmur grading is simply of way of describing the loudness of a murmur. There are six murmur grades. The lower the grade, the quieter the murmur. For more info, you can go to PetMD

I am a very sweet little fellow who loves to give kisses and I get along with all the other dogs here at my foster home. I am not sure about cats as we do not have any here at my foster home.

I am doing well on my potty training and will potty every time I go out, but I have had a couple of accidents here at my foster home and will need continued help on my training.

My foster mom says that I am a very smart boy who loves to be her shadow. My foster mom works from home and I just lay on the couch in her office while she works all day, but of course... if she gets up, I am right behind her to follow. I love to ride in the car and I am learning how to walk on a leash and doing a great job. I sleep in the BIG bed with her and all the other furkids here at the house and I am happy to lay at the foot of the bed or climb up on the pillows.

I am learning how to play with the other dogs here at the house and a fenced-in yard would be best for me. I get along with everyone who comes in the door, but I am more of a momma’s boy... there are older kids here at my foster home but I really have no interest in them. I like them and I will greet them when they come in the house, but I just prefer to be with my foster mom. I am not much of a barker, but I will bark at the appropriate times. My foster mom thinks that I am a “KEEPER”!

If you have room in your heart and your home for a great boy like me, please go to our application page on our website and fill out and submit an adoption application and follow up with an email to my foster mom letting us know you submitted an application. Sometimes we have had application go missing from the computer airwaves and I would hate to miss out on my forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SNICKERS, a Beavercreek Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Beavercreek, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Beavercreek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beavercreek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beavercreek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beavercreek paves the way for another one to be saved.
