My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you know a pug lover who is looking for a new buddy, please contact Samantha at 310-980-2325 or samantha@lewis-bark.com for more info. Thanks!

Winston is a 7.5 years old neutered male Pug. He is in great health and should have a long remaining lifespan. He has inhalant allergies that cause itching, but can be controlled with Temaril-P (very inexpensive) pills and an occasional allergy shot. He is an excellent companion who is always looking to give and receive love and attention. He loves to go shopping, dining, traveling, and for hikes and walks. He loves other dogs, cats and kids and doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. He is very enthusiastic about seeking and enjoying comfort, and loves snacks and treats – in particular he is mad for apples. He loves to sit on laps, sofas, beds, and even dog beds provided they have bolsters for better snuggling. He was crate trained from the beginning, and is peaceful and comfortable in his crate, where he sleeps at night in our house.

When we first brought him home him as a pet for our daughter, our lives were much different. Both my wife and I enjoyed good health, and our daughter had a lot of time to devote to Winston. We have become very attached to him, and he is devoted to our daughter who is his "special person". But unfortunately our circumstances have changed dramatically. I have Leukemia and my wife has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which limit our energy and capacity. Meanwhile, our daughter is extremely busy with her schoolwork and extra curricular activities. This has resulted in Winston being left without his special person all day, and trying to meet his social and lifestyle needs has become a burden on our fatigued and busy family. This is not good for Winston or us. He deserves more, and we love him enough to know it is best for him if we can place him with the right sort of household: Pug–savvy, devoted Pug lovers.

If you are interested in meeting Winston, please contact Samantha 310-980-2325 or samantha@lewis-bark.com
