My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Snowflake is 10 months old. She contracted the herpes disease when she was a young kitten and her eye issue is a result. Snowflake’s eye will never get any better but she won’t have to continue seeing a specialist. . It doesn’t slow her down and she is one of the sweetest cats I have ever known. She is on a nutritional supplement called L-Lysine that she takes twice a day. It is a powder that is sprinkled on her food, which she gobbles right up. The only other med she has is an anti-viral eye medication. She only gets this when her eye flares up which is kinda like getting a cold sore. You don’t medicate daily, only when your cold sore pops up. Symptoms of her eye flaring up are extra puffiness, extra runny eye, redness. Her med costs are about $15 every 5 weeks. Occasionally Snowflake will sneeze but it’s related to her herpes virus and not upper respiratory disease. She can be around other cats as most all cats have been exposed as one time or the other to the herpes virus.
Snowflake is a delight to have in my house. She adds joy to every day and does not seem to know she has any kind of eye issue. She plays, plays, plays, and when she wants to sleep, she finds a lap to curl up in or a chest to lie on. Snowflake is a beautiful girl inside and out. A family would be extremely lucky to take her home. She gets along with other cats and dogs and would do well with folks of all ages.
