My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jobe is anxiously awaiting his chance to have a new home where he can live inside and share all the love he has to give. He is tired of living in a kennel and would love to curl up in front of the fireplace and watch TV with his family. He is very calm and well mannered in the house and is crate-trained and housebroken. He understands that Cedar Farm is kind of like a halfway house for him and is definitely a better situation that where he was a year ago. When we first saw Jobe last year, he had been confiscated in a cruelty case and was in pretty bad shape. He was truly skin and bones, weighing only 56 lbs., and had to live at the shelter for several months until his original owner’s trial was over. Thank goodness he was released to us and we have been thrilled with Jobe’s progress physically. Amazingly, he never really had any issues emotionally. He always kept a positive attitude and his spirit has never been broken. Jobe loves people but is very strong and can be a bit boisterous with his hugs. He’ll need an owner that will rein him in when he needs it and not sugarcoat things with him. Jobe is smart and as long as he knows the limits you have given him he will definitely try to mind and obey you. He plays well with other dogs and will ignore those that don’t want to play. He has no problem with cats. Jobe is three years old and now weighs a healthy 98 lbs. He has been neutered and microchipped, is up to date on his shots, has tested heartworm negative and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks. To meet Jobe we request that you first submit our adoption application form which can be found online at www.cedarfarmrescue.com Please followup with a phone call to (336) 251-8877.
