Pilib's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Pilib's Story...
Pilib ("Phillip") is a very handsome 4 year old male, purebred Border Collie. Pilib has a rough, brindle-pointed tri color coat. (

Pilib came to NBCR from a shelter with his brother Shea. We will be adopting each dog individually. Pilib is outgoing and very friendly with people. He will need some obedience training (he jumps up a bit at first), but overall is an easy dog to get along with. Pilib gets along well with other dogs. Pilib is a more dominant dog than his brother Shea, so we believe he will continue to want to be a dominant dog. We have not introduced him to cats.

Pilib LOVES to play ball. He would play ball all day long if you let him. Pilib needs a little work on bringing the ball all the way back to his person - he will bring it almost to you and toss it towards you or dance around next to you with the ball in his mouth. It wouldn't take long to teach him that to play ball, he has to bring it all the way back :) Pilib has a great personality and would be a good match for an active person/family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pilib, a Bellevue Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
