My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

General is a 7 year old red fox / lab mix and is a big boy weighing about 85lbs - a tad overweight who should lose about 15 lbs. This sweet fella has been with Lucky Lab Rescue for 5 years now which is WAY too long for any dog! He came in when he was only 2 years old and we just don’t understand why he has been overlooked for so many years! General is house trained, crate trained and would be classified as a medium energy boy. Mr. G enjoys going for walks and would love to get exercise with you and smell the fresh air, especially since it will help him lose weight. General's major and only issue is resource guarding. When he gets a toy or what he perceives as a high value item, he can be aggressive, but he is NOT food aggressive. Humans can stick their hand right in his food bowl without incident. He is loving, GREAT with other dogs and does not seem to have the resource guarding with them. He is goofy, lovable and really a good boy that is looking for a home to call his own. General has waited long enough……can you be the one to finally help him break free and lay his head in his own home?
