My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet Emmett. Emmett is a gorgeous seal point Himalayan with huge blue eyes. He is stunning! He has very long, thick fur which was a mess when we first found him. He was very matted and filthy. But he is all cleaned up now and beautiful! He was found as a stray on the side of the road. We have no idea about his past but he was already declawed. Emmett is extremely friendly and talkative. He doesn't like closed closet doors and will talk to them. But if you talk back to him, he comes running to you to have a conversation! He is a very laidback cat and does not get upset about much. He adores other cats, is great with dogs and he loves people. He loves to be held and he purrs his heart out. Emmett needs a home where his person will pour love on him and brush him regularly. He also needs a home where he will have another feline friend for company. Emmett is not crazy about children under 5 years old, they scare him with their strange noises!

Emmett is front-declawed. He tested negative for FeLV/FIV/heartworms. He has been given his rabies and distemper vaccines and was dewormed. The vet estimated Emmett to be 4-5 years old. He had bad ear infections when he was found but he was treated for them and they are healing nicely.

Emmett is being fostered in Charlotte, NC. Please contact his foster mom, Beth, at bethie1122@yahoo.com to come meet Emmett today. An adoption application and fee of $130 does apply. The fee is simply to help recoup some of the vet expenses so we can continue to rescue the next needy kitty. Thank you.
