Patrick may be nine years old, but he has the spirit of a youngster eager to play and explore the world around him. This gentle older boy absolutely delights in his walks and has a spring in his step, tail wagging the whole time. It is likely that Patrick did not have many opportunities to be out and about in the world in his life before the shelter, but he is making up for it now, bouncing and playing with his volunteer companion, like a pup. He is also learning how oh-so-nice it is to get some loving: Patrick will gently lean into you as you stroke his fur, and look at you adoringly with those big brown eyes. We think Patrick would do best in a home without young children, and as the only dog in the household. If you are looking to give an older dog a new lease on life, with lots of opportunities for walking (and of course, plenty of t-l-c), come meet Patrick and see whether he is the right fit for you.
