Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tinsley was rescued from his previous owners. He had been tied to a tree having to live out in all the heat and cold for 2 years. He is 3 years old. He is up to date on all his medical and has been neutered. He loves to play. He does great with other dogs !!! He is doing good with his house training. He would love to have a buddy to play with in a fenced in yard. His adoption fee is $350 Complete our on line application on our web site: www.potomacpekes.org We require a home visit and vet reference. Tinsley is being fostered in Va Beach Va We do not transport our pekes to their new homes.
UPDATE FROM TINSLEY'S FOSTER MOM:
Tinsley has forgiven the humans who left him chained up outside for two years prior to coming into Peke rescue and is now a happy, energetic companion to his foster mom and his foster furry family. He LOVES to play ball and will remind you of that if he gets bored or you aren't throwing the ball enough. He loves to sit on laps and get belly rubs, give kisses, and stare soulfully into your eyes - just like he understands what his human is thinking about and planning. He enjoys going for walks and car rides, being outside (as long as it isn't too hot out) watching nature happenings - sometimes squirrels are a bit too tempting and he will chase them like he chases his ball. He sits still and lets his foster mom brush him and doesn't fuss about taking a bath. He plays very well with his furry foster buddies - which includes a cat - like tug-a-toy or just chasing each other around the sofa. He does like to shred paper so sometimes it looks like it has snowed in the house if paper is within reach. He eats his food in the crowd with all his foster friends but will jump right in and eat whatever is left out of other bowls on the floor. He still has some issues with new situations that he is unfamiliar with and will emit a low growl on occasion, but once he has been assured that there is nothing to fear and/or his foster mom doesn't need to be protected, he gets over his cautious attitude. He has been around children who are a little older (8+) but may not be the right fit for someone with very young children. He's just like Elvis - a hunk of burning love!
