Sophie's Story...
Like a little lady who knows what she wants? I do. It’s playtime! Yoohoo! Pleased to meet you. My name is Sophie although my foster mom has taken to calling me Purr Ball because of my melodious purr and I am a ball. My companion cat Leo and I are quite the pair with our exotic little faces, orange and cream coats, and best of all our silly antics. Sophie is a character. She has a talent for a little bit of mischief as clever girls often do. Playful without being aggressive, Sophie loves human and kitty companions alike and let’s them know it with some interactive play, snuggling and her wonderful purr. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
