Sanford's Story...
Sanford has been living at a veterinary clinic for a couple of years. He is very popular with the staff- but a new vet is coming in and he needs a home. He is a little bossy with other cats so he would prefer a home of his own. He is very affectionate and loves to sit next to us or on our laps when we are working at computers. He spends most of his day on a counter greeting customers. Our vet has been such an advocate of rescue that we have all filled our homes with cats and dogs brought through the practice. It breaks our hearts - but we don't have room for all of them. Please consider one of these wonderful cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sanford, a Richfield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Richfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
