My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name is Max. I am a handsome, 2 year old Basset Hound mix. I was very recently taken in by the Rescue, when my former family realized they just did not have the time to give me. I was an only dog, and my wonderful foster home has two other dogs, so I am getting much needed socialization. I never realized what I was missing and how much fun having a couple buddies can be. I am doggie door and crate trained. I sleep in my crate by choice, I like having a little space to call my own. I do not mind being groomed and love to be brushed. However, I can be food aggressive, I do not want other dogs bothering me while I am eating. Foster dad is working with me on this, but felt I should mention it.

I do okay with cats and would be best around older children, young kiddies always have great treats in their hands and sometimes I just can not help myself and try to steal it. I love to go for walks and if a car door opens, I am in!
