Lady's Story...
Red Lady is a beautiful, wiggly, happy, very playful, and energetic three-year-old, 35-pound, female, glossy red Spitz/Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Lady is loving, affectionate and quite snuggly. Her tail is always happily wagging. While Lady loves all people, she is more selective about the dogs she enjoys. She prefers calmer dogs who don't challenge her. She has not been cat-tested. She enjoys hanging out and chewing her bones. She just loves playing with her balls and toys. She is crate-trained and housebroken. Sadly she was given up by a woman when she was diagnosed with MS. Red Lady went to rescue and her rescuer was terminally ill and has now passed away.

Lady is very healthy, de-wormed, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, and heartworm-tested. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this sweet dog, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net. Her adoption donation of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue. She is currently kenneled in Union, Illinois.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a Chicago Chihuahua/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Chihuahua/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
