Shine's Story...
Shine is a beautiful Golden Retriever puppy who was given to Buster's Friends by his owner who could no longer care for him. He is a super sweet boy who loves everyone he meets and loves being loved on. He is good with other dogs (even small ones) and loves playing. He is curious about cats and could be easily taught to leave them alone. He would make a fantastic pup for a family.

Email if you are interested in meeting Shine and we will let you know which event he will be attending.

Shine is around 10mths old and about 50-60lbs. Updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shine, a Houston Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
