Blanca's Story...
I am a gentle soul by the name of Blanca. I can be a little shy but I am eager to please. I am well behaved and I have had just a little training, I have recently learned to walk on a leash ( this used to be very scary for me) and I am even crate trained already. I will be happiest with respectful children, and I am very comfortable around other dogs. I have a beautiful white coat that requires little grooming and I am an excellent size- much smaller than your average Lab. And believe me, I am far from average. I will be the most angelic pet around. 6 months old-34lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; current shots, spay, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, Free vet exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area), 5 week Good Manners training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blanca, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
