Elvis's Story...
It's not likely that I will be the next king of Rock n' Roll, but I am a rockin' little man. I am super fun with some great energy. I sure do love to play. I love to play with the other doggies here and I think some kids would be fun to play with to. I still need to work a little on my manners. FYI, I am not up to sharing my new home with no darn cat! There's no way I am doing that. Looking for a hiking or running partner? I can definitely do that! Do you think you might share my love of the outdoors and dislike for cats? Come on in and take this hunk a burnin love home! 1 1/2 years old-55lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; current shots, neuter, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, Free vet exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area), 5 week Good Manners training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elvis, a Portland Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
