My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is a Rescue In Need.
Lucy is a 4 year old blue female with natural ears. Update 10/19/12 - Lucy is turning into a very happy girl. She is now running to the door with the other dogs to greet people. She walked up to two different ladies at the vet yesterday for pets as soon as they walked in which is a big step for her! She still needs to gain some weight, but her you can no longer see every bone in her back. She likes to play with the other dogs in the yard, and likes to carry bones and babies around the house. She likes to play tug of war. Her back legs are getting stronger every day, and she actually jumped into the truck yesterday for a ride. Before that, she needed a boost for her back end. She comes when called, and can now sit for treats, which she takes like a lady. She knows the command out (I used this to make the dogs leave the kitchen when I'm cooking). She can bound up the steps just as fast as the other dogs, especially if you say the word "hungry". She is a very loving girl, and would make a great dog for someone willing to give her a chance.

Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League can only adopt within its incorporated area (eastern NY, eastern PA, NJ, DE, WV, MD, and VA). For more information on our adoption policies please visit our website: www.magdrl.org To adopt a Great Dane under 2 you must have traditional fencing (no electronic fences permitted).
