Kona's Story...
Poor Kona is a female 8 year old Rottweiler, surrendered because she’s getting old. Yes, really, that's what was shared. Kona is nervous and scared in new situations: She cannnot figure out why or how her world was turned upside down. Despite her fears, she displays no aggression whatsoever. This girl needs a lot of TLC and a quiet home! Kona came from a home with cats, dogs, and kids of all ages, and was, per her former owner, good with all of them which her foster also verified! We would like to place Kona in a home with other friendly dog(s) as it lights up her life! Kona is fostered in Lakewood, OH. If you'd like to be this girl's dream come true, contact for an application is Beth at kaya1227@comcast.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kona, a Frederick Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
