Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Max is a very handsome 2 year old Golden Retriever/St. Bernard mix. His foster family has fallen in love with him! He's a good sized boy, at around 80 pounds, with the coolest markings. Mostly soft and silky Golden, his muzzle is brown, black and white. His chest is white and so are his paws and the very tip of his tail. Max turns heads!
Although he came in to GRFR as a stray, Max is no stranger to home life. He knows his basic commands, is fine with the doggy door and stairs in his foster home, stays off the furniture, and is trustworthy w indoor free roam. We don't have data yet on Max with kids or cats. We know he enjoys other dogs!
He enjoys being close by with you, while you watch movies, work on your laptop or just hang out. Max is playful and full of that special 2 year old's energy too -- a "go guy". He loves his daily walks with you and walks nicely on leash. He also loves those trips to the dog park, trips to the supermarket, trips to . . . well, just about anywhere you are going. Please get a VestHarness or similar seat belt for your safety and Max's on car rides.
Mr. Max will be happiest as a member of an active and interactive family who appreciates his companionship, energy and playfulness. Max would love a doggy sibling but will be fine as your solo GRFR guy so long as he has lots of exercise and socialization at a dog park, doggie daycare or by way of play dates. Max is a lover!!
