Jasmine's Story...
Jasmine, AdoptFromFARR@yahoo.com, is a 6 month old Greater Pyrenees mix female. She came in with her sister, Ariel, and mother, Belle from Alabama where they were abandoned at a kill shelter. Mom is the pyranees and we don't know what dad was, but we're guessing some sort of saint/mastiff mix by the markings/coloring. Jazzy is super sweet and gentle, very much like her mom. She is a puppy, so she does like to play, but not a high energy dog. She loves to give kisses and is very quiet and gentle with kids. She is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on shots and dewormer, so healthy and ready for her new home. If you are interested in adopting, please send an email to AdoptFromFARR@yahoo.com with the dog’s name in the subject line. Please include your name and return contact info. FARR – Florida Retriever Rescue is composed totally of volunteers working to save the lives of neglected and unwanted dogs. The $100 adoption fee helps to cover the first 2 shots, Dewormer, Rabies (if over 16 weeks) and neuter/spay fees, as well as any transport/pull fees FARR may have paid to shelter. You can also check out all of the other foster dogs and puppies that the FARR has currently fostered around the Tampa Bay area by visiting FARR Adopt-A-Pet or Facebook: FARR Florida All Retriever Rescue. Thank you for your interest in a rescue dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jasmine, a Largo Great Pyrenees puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Largo, or seeking a Great Pyrenees puppy from a breeder in Largo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Largo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Largo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Largo paves the way for another one to be saved.
