HELLO! We were dumped at the shelter – completely hopeless, helpless, starving, and desperate. We are semi-feral (frightened only) girls – we came in as teenagers from a shelter, but because we had some hope for a future, SPA took us in so that we could have a “Happily Furever After Fairy-Tail Home as two Beautiful Princesses! We are both GORGEOUS, all white with beautiful ice blue eyes, and we are both small – Snow White has long hair and Cinderella has short hair. We were going to be killed because we were semi-feral, and were so badly neglected, but now we are beautiful, and we can be held and we are BOTH SUGAR SWEET! But we need more attention than some kitties, so we must be adopted together, as sisters, because we need each other desperately! We ADORE other kitties and find great joy in being with our fellow rescue colleagues. We could always stay with SPA, but if You LOVE white kitties with blue eyes and You think that You can give us the attention that we need, and a lovely indoor home, then we can be Your very own “Fairy Tail” Princess girls! With love and nutrition we are now the most beautiful and healthy Princess Sisters in the whole world!
Please can we live with you in your castle and have a real home with LOTS of attention? You must be very patient with us because we are still frightened of the world that betrayed us – but we love our foster mama and she knows that we could live “Happily Furever After” with the right patient and loving family!

We strive to take in loving and beautiful cats that would otherwise be killed at the county shelters. We specialize in the mama cats with their kittens that animal shelters are often too overwhelmed to care for.
Our cats are always kept in loving homes, not kennels, so they will have an easier transition into your home after they are adopted.
To prepare our cats and kittens for their loving homes, we provide treatment and testing that includes: spay/neuter, vaccinations, treatment for the parasites that can often come from shelters or outdoor living, including round worms, tape worms, fleas, feline intestinal protozoa such as coccidia and giardia, ear mites and upper respiratory infections. Our cats are also FIV/FeLV negative, heart worm negative and litter-trained.
SUGAR PLUM ANGELS RESCUE (SPA RESCUE, INC.) is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity that rescues cats from high kill shelters in Southern California for adoption in San Diego County.
OUR MISSION: Our mission is "no pet left behind", trying to save the beautiful treasures (these rescued pets) that have been discarded into public shelters -- as if they were trash. These rescued pets are WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL all of them!

Potential adopters are required to fill out an application and, if approved, give an appropriate adoption donation for the pet, and to sign our contract. Contact us by phone or email and we will be very happy to bring the cat, or cats, that you would like to meet to our weekend Poway Petco Adoption Fair.
Adoption fees vary. Note that the adoption donations do not fully cover all of our expenses for preparing these deserving and special rescues for their forever homes. Therefore we reserve the right to select only permanent, indoor homes with owners who are willing to make the lifelong commitment to provide high quality food, veterinary care, security, time, space, and love for these wonderful rescued cats. The long-term welfare of our rescues is our most important mission of all.
