My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lark is an energetic 1 1/2 yr old GSD. He loves to play ball and is good with kids under 5. They can crawl all over him, but he does get protective of his people, so care should be taken with other kids coming to visit and roughhousing...not sure about cats, he is good with his family dogs, but not strange dogs, he gets very defensive...he is very sweet and affectionate to the people he knows, somewhat standoffish to strangers, typical GSD behavior. He loves his balls, but will shred a stuffed toy. he does know his basic commands of sit, down, come, leave it, settle meaning he rolls over his hips when down. We are working on his jumping up on people for attention and he does use his paws to talk. He has to sit before he is allowed to be petted. He is getting some on lead heel training to keep him from pulling. Lark doesn't jump or dig under fences. He loves to ride in the vehicle laying his head on your lap while you drive. Lark is crate and housebroke. He spent the first year of his life tied out on a chain, and the people that took him in and rehabilitated him, did a great job of retraining him to be in the house. He will chase domestic rabbits, as most GSD's will!!! He is a real sweetheart...
