Young, single male dachshund seeks loving family for long term relationship; humans and another canine would be my ideal relationship. Hi, my name is Oskar and I am 2.5 yrs old. I am a "tweenie", weighing about 16 pounds; bigger than a mini doxie, but a bit smaller than a standard. I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines and micro chipped. I love to go for walks, play fetch with my foster mom and chase with my foster siblings. I am also a lover and my ideal evenings spent are snuggled up on the sofa with humans (and canines).

I have lived with cats in the past. I could be an only dog, but with foster mom working all day, I do enjoy the company of fellow dachshunds. I’m not a snob, I like other breeds as well; my foster mom takes me to a puppy & small dog play group and I play with the young larger breed dogs there.

I ‘m a bit shy and it takes me a bit of time to be comfortable with new people, so children may not be the best fit for me. My foster mom thinks that I have been "sternly disciplined" or roughly handled in the past. I will neither confirm nor deny these rumors.

I have already had two homes in my young life (not through my fault, but due to situations with my previous families) so serious inquiries only please, if you are looking for a loyal and loving companion to share the next 10 to 18 years with.
