Leonardo's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Leonardo's Story...
Leonardo was trapped in a feral cat colony and brought to a shelter in North Carolina where he was scheduled to be euthanized by gas. A friend of the shelter (and of Leonardo's) networked for him on facebook where he gained many fans who worked hard to rescue him. This brought him to the Catnip Cottage where he has a safe foster home while he socialises and waits for adoption. Leo is one of our therapy pets. His loving, gentle ways make him a favorite among the residents we visit monthly. Leonardo will enjoy sitting on your lap for hours, being petted and cherished. Leo is a very talkative cat that will hold up his end of the conversation. This go-getter makes his desires known and is quite assertive in getting them. Leo gets along quite well with other cats and dogs. Leonardo is very good with using his litterbox and has had good house manners. This big orange bundle of love will make anyone a very happy companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leonardo, a Summerville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Summerville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Summerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Summerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Summerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Summerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
