Little Guidry's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Little Guidry's Story...
Guidry is a beautiful 2-year old, 9 pound miniature dappled dachshund. He is 9 pounds of pure lap dog.

This little boy is happiest when he is in your lap and he loves to be carried. He's a velcro dog, for sure....and a very sweet one.

Guidry's perfect home would be with a family that wants a cuddle dog. Because he's a dachshund, and that breed will follow their nose, Guidry will need a home with a fenced yard. He is house-trained, so a home with a doggie door would be ideal.

Guidry is semi-crate-trained. He will sleep in his crate, but does best if you are in the room with him. He has some separation anxiety, so a family that is home most of the day would be perfect. Because he is so small, he would not do well in a home with children under 5 years old.

If you think you might be the right home for Guidry, email debandronb@earthlink.net for an application. This is the first...

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Guidry, a Mount Ida Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Mount Ida, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Mount Ida.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Ida already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Ida breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Ida paves the way for another one to be saved.
