Jake's Story...
Jake is about 8 months old. Found at a gas station, clinging to life due to dehydration, he was rescued just in time. This sweet boy thanked the rescuers with kisses, after he drank an entire mug of water. Jake is now healthy and happy after his stay at the vet. He loves other dogs, people and toys. He is very smart, listens great, is playful and affectionate. . . . and would love to find a loving family to call his own. He is a good boy just looking for love, so if you have room in your home and your heart, call the shelter to set up a visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Fair Oaks Ranch Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Fair Oaks Ranch, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Fair Oaks Ranch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fair Oaks Ranch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fair Oaks Ranch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fair Oaks Ranch paves the way for another one to be saved.
