My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hugo is a Golden/Labrador Retriever mix. His foster family is very fond of him already and writes, "Hugo is quite possibly the friendliest dog of all time. He loves people and every other dog he meets. Although his name is Hugo, we have nicknamed him 'Shadow" because he follows us everywhere. He firmly believes he is a 60 pound lap dog and cuddles with you, or on you, at every opportunity. Hugo listens very well and relaxes on the floor when you ask him to get down off your lap. He sleeps through the night very quietly on a dog bed next to our bed.

Hugo is tremendous on a leash, either running by your side or walking. We went for a 3 mile run together, and all I could think was that I wish my own dogs were this good when we go running with them! Hugo has been trustworthy with free roam in our home while we are out and about for hours at a time. . . no accidents or destruction. We are completely comfortable with him in the house. Hugo is between 2-3 years old, with plenty of young dog energy, and definitely past the challenging puppy stage. He settles down when you want to settle and plays when you want to play. Hugo will be a wonderful addition to his forever family."
