Here is what else Bruno's foster family had to say about him:
Bruno is very gentle and friendly with everyone he meets throughout his day, including all adults and children. Bruno stands back at first with new people, but when he sees they are friendly, he is very eager to meet them. Bruno is friendly with all dogs, large and small, that he meets on walks or at the dog park. He gets along well with our own two dogs, both smaller than he is. We do not know how he is with cats but we expect he would be fine.
Bruno is crated overnight and when we’re both out. He receives a treat and small toy upon entry. He leaves his crate clean and dry. Bruno barks briefly after entering the crate but does settle. This has shown improvement. He hasn’t been placed in the crate for any negative reasons. He would be fine left out of the crate and has been sleeping in our room in a dog bed with no problems. I would love to see him go to a home where he is not crated at night as he really hates being put away from his people. He is not destructive in the home and has good manners.
Bruno's favourite things to do are his walks, going to the dog park, getting his tummy rubbed and snuggling on the couch. He’s quiet and has only barked a few times at something outside or while playing with our dogs. As mentioned above, he does bark when first put in his crate but only because he wants to be with us. He is getting used to coming to his new name and sit, stay and off are coming along. Given that it’s early days, Bruno is well on his way to being house trained. He gets regular and frequent opportunities to go outside and receives lots of praise when appropriate.
Bruno enjoys his walks. He can walk well alone and on a double lead with another dog. He enjoys sniffing and exploring when walking. We’ve reinforced sit and stay commands at the door. We are also developing these commands at feeding time and before leaving for a walk. He is fine in the car and we take him on frequent drives to the dog park to play with friends.
Bruno is a very gentle and affectionate dog. He would do well, as most dogs, in a home where he would receive lots of attention. We think that Bruno would enjoy sleeping overnight in a bedroom with his people. Although he gets along well with other dogs, he would adore being the only one.
