Rocky's Story...
Rocky the Boston Terrier was rescued from a situation that would have likely given him a life of misery as a breeding dog. He was born around March 2011 and will need a home that understands his needs and those of the breed. Rocky prefers the company of other small dogs rather than large ones and would benefit from having another little one around. The terrier comes out in him when he sees cats so no felines please. Rocky has some separation issues but can be safely crated when he needs to be left alone. He is not a big barker, is very affectionate with adults and is also good with older children. Rocky walks well on leash but would still benefit from formal training, which is a great way to bond with your dog while socializing him in a controlled environment. If Bostons are your thing, Rocky is ready to meet you. Rocky will be neutered prior to his final adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Rigaud Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
