Need a walking companion??? This is Katie and she would love to apply for the job because she LOVES long walks. She was an outside dog, but now enjoys the luxury of sharing the home of her foster family. She is a VERY smart young lady - who wouldn't love "inside"? Soft beds, couches and laps! She is a VERY well behaved 2 year old and is great with other dogs and children. She ADORES playing frisbee and knows a few basic commands.

An interesting tidbit: Katie is totally fascinated with birds! :-)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Newcastle Border Collie/English Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/English Sheepdog for sale in Newcastle, or seeking a Border Collie/English Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Newcastle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newcastle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newcastle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/English Sheepdog breeders who help with Border Collie/English Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newcastle paves the way for another one to be saved.
