Khari's Story...
Khari is a 5 month old Aussie mix. She is house and crate trained. She developed an upper respiratory infection in the shelter and was in danger of being put to sleep. With this girl's unique looks and sweet disposition, we couldn't say no. She knows how to sit and speak, and has been great with cats, dogs, and kids.
Khari is now over her uri, and is available for adoption.
Her adoption fee is $50 and an adoption contract stating that she will be spayed by 8 months of age is required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Khari, a Bakersfield Australian Shepherd/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Bakersfield, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Bakersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bakersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bakersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bakersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
