MEET TEDI....a precious 14 lb, tri colored (mostly white), 2 yr old (DOB 8/29/2011), Lhasa Shih Tzu mix. Tedi wants nothing but to be in a home that is happy and capable of loving her, working with her behavior and caring for her the way she should be cared for. That was the intention of the family who "rescued" her from a backyard breeder and took her home. Unfortunately, she was an impulse decision, as the family had recently lost their father to suicide and Tedi was brought home to soothe a pain that could not be soothed. Sadly, the family recognized the time commitment and responsibility for having a dog is like having another child....and they have realized that they are not up to the task and Tedi was suffering. Tedi is at a time in her life where she needs training, patience, possibly another bigger (as Tedi can be a bit dominant) dog....and encouragement, which she has not gotten. So, LHH has taken her and she will get all of the above in her the forever home we will find her. Tedi is a lover, kisser, player....she loves toys and craves attention...which she has sorely lacked. SHE LOVES TO PLAY ALL DAY: http://youtu.be/cQSzU9fvEfY She loves to be held, stroked and a lap is her favorite place to hang out, but she doesn't like to share it -- so she needs a low key individual or family who understands the breed. Already in her new foster home, she is potty trained (we do not guarantee in your house!) and is learning commands. Tedi will continue to grow into a wonderful companion with the attention and love all pups need! She does have a congenital issue where her sight at night is a bit challenged, but she sees just fine during the day!! She is awesome....but she will need to learn that you are the boss. Might Tedi be the one for you??!! Children not recommended as she can be a little over zealous. The ideal home for Tedi would be one where there is little chaos, little traffic and a patient parent who will take time with her. Be assured, Tedi is NOT an aggressive dog, she is just a little insecure and needs to feel safe.

First Sunday of the month, we hold our adoption events at The Healthy Spot West Hollywood (8525 Santa Moinca Blvd, West Hollywood, 90069) from 11am-3pm. Most every other Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 10:30a-3pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!!
