Forrest's Story...
Forrest was surrendered to the rescue because his human mom has cancer. he was injured when he was a puppy and has a stiffer back leg but it does not hold him back. he is loving and smart and needs a loving family to give him love and attention. He is updated on all shots HW neg and chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is 150.00

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small home rescue comprised of an all volunteer staff that rehomes canine companions of all ages and we also have a couple of handicapped residents that we have given a forever home here at the rescue. Our aim is to rehome as many as possible and to make sure that spay / neuter is done before leaving our rescue. We are a non-profit 501C3 charity org. and depend on donations from caring people like you.The money and donations of supplies are used exclusively to spay /neuter and otherwise vet and care for the rescues we have until they can be placed in a good home.. Donations can be made thru Paypal ellensrescue@hotmail.com All donations are tax deductable

We intake many new animals almost daily as the economy continues to decline and people are forced to give up their pets. Adopting one dog doesn't change the world but changes the world for that one dog. Save a life adopt a pet from a rescue or shelter.

Our adoption fees are based on costs to spay/neuter and shots and /or medical treatment needed before companion animal can be released for adoption.This usually runs between 175.00-300.00. Applications will be e-mailed upon request.
We do reference checks and Vet references are a must along with three non- related references. Adopted animals must be returned to our rescue, they cannot be transferred , sold,or given away even to another rescue without express permission of Ellens Rescue.

We serve WV, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, VA, WI, North Carolina, Kentucky and the Northeastern United States as long as we can get another rescue in those areas to do a home visit. We have some transports to various areas.We will work with other rescues to get a pet a forever home.
