Niko's Story...
Niko was saved from a local animal shelter after he was picked up as a stray and no one came to reclaim him. Shortly after arriving to the shelter, he was labeled to fearful/shy and was put on the list to the euthanized. Rescued Friends had a wonderful foster home step and he's now loving life! Shortly after arriving in his foster home, he started coughing and was on a round of antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection. Niko is completely better now! Niko is a very sweet boy who loves his foster family's little girl. He hasn't had any accidents in the house and does well in a kennel. He is showing a few signs on separation anxiety while kenneled, but is improving.. Unfortunately, Niko did come back heartworm positive but his heartworm treatment is included in the adoption fee at our vet in Arlington. Niko's adoption fee includes; neutered, all vaccines, heartworm treatment, kept on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Niko, a Arlington American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Arlington, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
