Brodie's Story...
I’m a purr kitty. I’ll purr with the slightest touch of the hand and fall asleep while you are holding me. Just scratch my chin and caress my head and I become jell-o. When you are reading the paper or a good book, expect me to be real close by and I do mean close by. I am quite the intellectual. I also like to watch TV! Yes, I am a bit needy, needy for attention and play-time, but with 4 brothers who wouldn't be needy. I like me a scratching post and the little toys I can carry in my mouth. I can run with my tail all fluffed up, which is rather cute if I may say so.
I was found with my brothers in a pile in an empty lot. Wayne County Animal Shelter took us in where we finally found our way to JCAPL. I have watched the black lab dog at my foster house but have not been "up close and personal". $100 refundable neuter deposit required. DOB 2/6/12
Are you interested in adopting Brodie or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. We review applications in the order they are received.

Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brodie, a Smithfield Siamese kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Smithfield, or seeking a Siamese kitten from a breeder in Smithfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
