Les's Story...
This is Les! He is an independent manly cat who has lived on his own in trailer park since his owners left him behind. However, residents of the trailer park were not so
hospitable and asked for Les to be removed, so we stepped in! He is a little reserved around humans as he is lacking a little faith. He seems to be alright with other cats but still
has his guards up and needs his personal space. We strongly believe that he will be quite laid back and loving once he figures out how life could be.
Les may also be comfortable as farm cat as he has some great mousing experience.

If you think you can be the one to help Les and show him people are worth loving, please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to learn about our adoption process & fees, or to fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Les, a Okotoks Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
