Pouncey's Story...
Pouncey is part of a bonded paid with her brother Malu. They must go together as they have been there for each other through the good and bad. They were surrendered to us by a lovely lady who found them wandering around in the middle of the highway, they were full of worms, fleas and have not been fed for quite some time. Skin and bones was all that was left of them, probably wandering looking for food. They are in a foster location in Lakeland, FL and are now ready for a new home. Their paired adoption fee is $150 which includes one month of Advantage II for each dog, one month of de worming medicine, and will be required to be spayed and neutered at 6 months of age around July of 2012.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pouncey, a Lakeland Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Lakeland, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Lakeland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lakeland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lakeland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lakeland paves the way for another one to be saved.
