Lucky is a medium sized, no fuss dog. He is very sweet, submissive with people and affectionate. He is a young, mid-sized dog weighing approximately 50 lbs. He would do best in a calm adult household or with older children only. He is a calm, loving and affectionate companion.
He is completely house trained and not destructive. He can be left in the house with no worries. He is good with other dogs but is also quite independent. He is happy to sleep by himself away from the other dogs and he loves to sit outside on the porch or lawn for long stretches of time. He loves to lie in the snow. He came with a very stiff back leg which sticks out a bit to the side when he runs, but it doesn’t seem to bother him in the least. After running extensively with the other dogs he will favor it for a day or so.
Visitors go to him first because he is calm and easy to be around. He just wants a person to hang out with and to go outside every once in awhile to do his business and chase squirrels. Sometimes, when he is relaxing outside, the squirrels can parade in front of him and he is completely non-reactive to them so it depends on his mood.
Lucky has displayed no aggression over food or toys. He eats in the same area as the other dogs and shares toys nicely. He thrives in a calm environment so may be best in a home with older or no children or an adult only household. However when he meets young children on the street he is calm and friendly. Lucky is not shy around anyone but is very friendly. Lucky is a pretty, medium sized dog and he is very calm. Lucky cannot live with cats as he seems like he may be aggressive towards them.
Lucky is completely trustworthy and is never crated. He loves to hang around his humans and he loves to lie around outside, particularly in the snow. He has not had any formal obedience training but does come when called. He doesn’t like to sit because of his leg so he will roll over on his back instead. He has never had an accident in the house. He can go 10 hours overnight without a problem. He rides well in the car.
Lucky is an easy keeper. He loves to hang out with people, get a tummy rub and lie around outside. He has a very sweet disposition. He has been a model foster dog. He is sweet with people, great with other dogs and very low key. He is quite happy to be by himself so would be a good choice as an only dog in the house or as a second or third dog. He does love to play but can’t take too much activity because of his leg. He would love to run about a bit outside with another dog or go for a walk but nothing too strenuous. Lucky would be a wonderful companion for a calm quiet household.
