Paris's Story...
Paris and her siblings were rescued from a high kill shelter in KY, along with their mama.  Paris is a light grey tiger, with hints of orange.  She likes to hiss alot, but she's all talk.  She gets along with other kitties just fine, despite her initial attempts to tell you otherwise.  She just needs time to adjust, and next thing you know, she's playing with the others (while occasionally hissing for good measure).  She's very affectionate and wants fair opportunity to cuddle with you.  She's a real character.

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at http://www.rescueahart.org/catadoptionapplication.asp. The application will put you in touch with this wonderful cat's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paris, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
