Jamie Foxx's Story...
Jamie is a tall, dark and handsome gentleman, who always looks dapper in his flashy "tuxedo" markings. He's a gentle soul and is happiest when in the company of others, whether that company be other dogs or people. His current foster family includes three greyhounds of varying ages, and one Shetland sheepdog, and so far has shown no interest in small furry creatures. He did fine when cat-tested at the breeding farm. He walks calmly on lead and will become a second shadow if permitted. Jamie eats well and sleeps through the night. He loves his crate, but his current foster family allows him to sleep on a dog bed in their bedroom, and he remains on his bed all night. He has not been exposed to stairs, but with an arthritic hip he may do better in a single landing home. He walks easily on tile floors, and has improved with pottying on lead. He will also do almost anything for a treat or a bit of affection!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jamie Foxx, a Tampa Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
