My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOT ALL LIVES ARE PERFECT. NOT ALL LIVES ARE HIGHLY ADOPTABLE. PLEASE MAKE SURE RED CAN HELP DOGS THAT ARE SPECIAL. MAKE A SPONSOR DONATION. This companion animals name is Ozzie. Ozzie came to RED from a shelter that had given up trying to help him due to limited time and space availability. Ozzie's lifetime owner died and left poor Ozzie alone and unprotected and sadly he is a special needs dog.. The family that came to clean out his lifetime home also loaded him up and dropped him off at a shelter that was not able to allow the special diet or time he needed. The family did not care that Ozzie had been his owners joy and companion. That he had been loyal and loving and stayed with her until her days were gone. The shelter did care and looked for help. Ozzie came to RED. Ozzie is only about 7 so he has many more years to go. He has allergies which include many foods and some environmental. RED had been trying to get these under control with no steroids.. Ozzie had been on steroids for many years and getting him drug free could lengthen his life. We have him on home made food as no bagged food has the safe ingredients he needs. Cost to feed him with out staff time to cook the food is 20.00 a week. We have had him tested for allergies and know most of the things that he is allergic to but we are sure there are still surprises in that area. He also is on Thyroid meds which is only about 10.00 a month. Please help Ozzie with a donation for his care and we would also consider an foster home or adopter for Ozzie. Ozzie is animated and funny and well worth the work.
Mandatory fenced yard. No apartments. Some Condos and homes with a private use fenced yard maybe considered. No children under 10 years of age.
