Pearl's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Pearl's Story...
Pearl is a very friendly 6 year old spayed, female bloodhound (born 3/05) who weighs in at 90 lbs. Pearl is primarily an indoor dog and is crated when her owner is not at home. She enjoys the attention of people and children and likes to be with her people as much as possible, sleeping contentedly in her bed when she knows her people are home. Pearl likes to go for walks but she can really pull so will need some work on leash training. Her new home will also need a high fence or wall as Pearl has been known to jump a 5’ wall. Pearl is fine with cats and other dogs as long as they are not allowed close to her food.

Note: Pearl has been listed on our website as part of our List an Animal Program and is not in the custody of Four Peaks Animal Rescue (4PAR). As such, the description above was derived from the description provided by her current owner. 4PAR has no first hand knowledge as to the accuracy of the description.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pearl, a Scottsdale Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
