HOUSTON's Story...
Houston is a 2.5 year old, male, mostly black with some white feathering, Border Collie mix who has a lot of playful energy and loves to run and play with other dogs. Houston is housetrained, knows how to use a dog door, likes to play ball, plays in the water and just loves to be with everyone. Houston would do best in a home with another female dog that he can run and play with. He needs a fairly large yard and would enjoy going for walks or hikes also. Although Houston has not been around children, he should be fine with anyone over 12. Please consider making Houston a permanent member of your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HOUSTON, a San Pedro Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
