My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elara is a beautiful merle-colored shetland sheepdog (sheltie) girl with one partial blue eye. She may be purebred shorter-coated sheltie, but we are not 100% certain. She is estimated to be about 3-4 years old and she weighs 25 lbs. She is calm, sweet and gentle and loves to be pet, cuddled with and loved on. She is spunky and silly when the time comes to play, but is very happy to curl up next to you on the couch for nap-time. She is absolutely gorgeous, and such a loyal girl. There is nothing bad to say about this little sweetheart, and anyone would be lucky to have her as a part of their family. She is housetrained.

Elara has been examined by a vet, spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She has also been fecal tested (and dewormed if needed) and heartworm tested. An adoption application is required via email prior to meeting any Hope 4 Paws dog in its foster home. In most cases, breeds stated in the posting are merely our best educated guess as we do not know the history of many dogs that come into the rescue.
