Binx's Story...
***Did you know that black cats are the most overlooked by adopters? Please consider adopting a black cat... or two! We offer a discount for adopting pairs.***

Binx is a lanky 2-year-old black male. He is a bit shy at first, but will become more social and playful with time, especially if he can be adopted together with his good friend Bagheera, another young black male. Although they are not related, Binx is sort of like the "quiet older brother" of the pair, while Bagheera is the smaller and more outgoing "little brother." They play together and groom each other, and while we would love to see them adopted together, it is not required. Keep in mind that we do offer a special discount for adopting a pair.

Binx tends to be submissive to other cats, but wants to play with them, so he would do well as a companion to another mellow kitty like Bagheera or your own cat if you already have one. If adopted as an only cat, Binx would make a great mouser or indoor/outdoor cat. Binx loves to hide in sunny windows. He also loves to sneak into bed with you and knead the covers with his paws, so for your own comfort you should keep his claws trimmed. He NEVER scratches the furniture, though, if you were worried about that. Our adoption contract forbids declawing, so please do not reply if you are unwilling to trim his claws or use a nail cover product like Soft Paws.

Binx has been neutered, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, is current on shots, and is microchipped just in case he ever gets lost.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Binx, a Bentonville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bentonville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bentonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bentonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bentonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bentonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
